Screen Printing FAQ's

How do I place an order?

Please fill out the form here:

In all cases, we will require you to approve a mockup for your order, review your invoice, and pay in advance (or at least a 50% deposit on large orders) before we begin to print your order. You can come visit our location or pay online with a link we will send upon invoice and mock up approval.

What is Screen Printing and what is Direct to Film?

Screen printing is the process of using screens as stencils to lay an image onto a garment. Every additional color or print location on the garment will require a different screen. Typically this process is done on a “carousel” type of press so you can line up multiple color designs to be printed in one location. This sometimes requires the use of a quartz flash to cure the inks between layers.

Direct to film transfers are digitally printed transfers whereby the image is printed backwards followed by a thin layer of white ink and finally powdered transfer adhesive. The transfer sheet is then fed into a conveyor dryer where the transfer adhesive is melted and combined with the digital transfer and white ink. Lastly, we heat press the transfer onto your garment.

What kind of files do you need for printing?

This depends on the printed product you are looking for. Ideally for screen printing or vinyl cuts we need a high quality .AI/.PDF file that is vector and color separated. If you need help with any of that we would be happy to help get your files print ready. Our graphic design services start at $50.00 per hour with a 1 hour minimum charge. We will then supply you with the finalized file in either .AI, PSD., PDF. or raster images at your request.

For anything digitally printed (such as Signs, Banners, Business cards, Post Cards, Stickers, Door-hangers, and other printed paper products), any high-quality and high DPI resolution image will usually work. An image scaled to the desired print size and at a resolution of 300 DPI is preferable.

What is your turnaround time?

Typically 7-12 business days for printed products once the artwork has been approved and invoice has been paid. We do offer rushed turnaround times (2-5 business days), where a fee that is calculated by a percentage of your invoice total. Contact us today to see our current turnaround times, as they do fluctuate.

Do you work with brokers/resellers?

We sure do! Customers who have a valid California Resale License receive our exclusive print price list that is up to 50% cheaper than retail prices. We value you and your customers privacy and will never advertise to your customer or show off their order on our website or social media outlets.

What is your return policy?

If there was a mistake in printing on our end,  we can accept returns within 30 days of production and re-print your order.

However, we do not accept returns and are not obligated to re-print or refund your order if the finished product is cohesive with the signed mockup(s).

That being said, we are always happy to explain and discuss with you about any issue, questions, or concerns you have with your finished product.

How do I care for my custom printed garments?

Check the label of the garment for proper wash direction. Since all shirts/garments are composed of different blends of polyester, cotton, rayon ETC, it is important to check the tag to see if your shirt has specific wash instructions.

When it comes to decorated garments with screen printing, or DTG we always recommend washing in cold water, tumble dry on low (or even better; Line Dry), and turn the garment/shirt inside out. This procedure will give your graphic the most longevity in the wash.
